WRAP 101
Introduction to Wraparound
Wraparound is an ecologically based process and approach to care planning
that builds on the collective action of a committed group of family, friends,
community, professional, and cross-system supports mobilizing resources
and talents from a variety of sources resulting in the creation of a plan of
care that is the best fit between the family vision and story, team mission,
strengths, needs, and strategies.
The wraparound process aims to achieve positive outcomes for youth and
families by providing a structured, creative and individualized team-based
planning process that compared to traditional treatment planning, results in
plans that are more effective and more relevant forms of help for youth and
families.

CSEC Training
Georgia’s Child Victims of Sexual Exploitation
Each month, approximately 300 to 500 hundred girls are commercially
sexually exploited throughout Georgia, and the average age of entry
into the commercial sex market for girls is between 12 and 14 years
old. Recognizing child prostitution as a form of child abuse, Governor’s
Office for Children and Families (GOCF) created the nation’s first
statewide response to address the needs of child sex trafficking victims
including the development of the Georgia CSEC Task Force.
The Georgia CSEC Task Force, convened by the Governor’s Office for
Children and Families, was created in 2008 to work collaboratively to
end the commercial sexual exploitation of children by developing and
implementing prevention, intervention, and prosecution strategies.
